THE  CALENDAR ARTISTS : SECTION UNDER CONSTRUCTION


Caterina Arciprete, an Italian artist, combines photography, drawing/painting, and writing, developing exhibition and editorial projects in Italy and abroad. She studied and taught at the IED of Rome, published art books with Arte’m, Electa, Skira, and others, and collaborated with various companies. Caterina has exhibited extensively, showcasing her work in diverse locations and prestigious venues around the world.

Elena Belobragina is an artist living in Stockholm, Sweden. Her work is permeated with the desire to convey her inner state through art. One of Elena’s main goals is to convey this inner world to the audience, inspired by both human stories and knowledge, and her own life experience. In her art, each work begins with an internal search, where she pulls out emotions and thoughts from the very depths of herself, finds inspiration, and only then begins to choose the media. Currently, Elena works with oil on canvas and video format, combining both figurative painting and video art performances in her work. Through her works, the artist strives to tell the stories of women in search of their own identity, despite external pressures and stereotypes of society. Her work resonates with many viewers of different genders as it reflects common human aspirations and experiences, emphasizing the unity of experience regardless of gender.

Patrizia Breitenstein is living in Geneva, Switzerland where she works at International Committee of the Red Cross. She has studied chinese calligraphy for over 20 years with master calligrapher Wang Fei, himself student of Jang Weisong and Xu Yongnian. She also has followed chinese traditional paintings courses at the Yantai university and calligraphy courses at the Lanting Calligraphy Art Academy in Shaoxing. She is a seal carver too, using the traditional seal script, but her favourite style with the brushes is the cursive script. She has exhibited in China, in Sweden and in Swizerland, winning the title of second-best calligrapher in national swiss competition.

Chiara Coccorese is an artist and photographer who explores the issues of existence, time and spirituality. Through a narrative approach based on stage-photography, she reconstructs the world using the dream-like language of infancy. She creates miniaturized scenographies with painted skyes and small plasticine characters, or real people in imaginary worlds, and in her latest work, she uses a metod in which she mixes AI and manual interventions. She has illustrated the book "Il Specchio dei Desideri", published by Feltrinelli 2012, and also re-published in France, Greece, Brazil, the Netherlands and England. Her work "Zona Rossa / Piano di Fuga" is permanently exhibited on a wall within Vanvitelli station of the Naples subway and her work "La Cura" became a is a permanent installation in Castel Sant'Elmo, Napoli. Her art has been exhibited in numerous group exhibitions and museums in Italy and abroad.

Isabelle de Boulloche, raised in Sweden and influenced by her family's artistic background, creates art that challenges societal norms and perceptions of the female body. Through her paintings, Isabelle addresses the objectification of women in modern society, using provocative imagery to spark conversations about beauty, power, and identity.

Linda Kunik, originally a plein-air watercolorist, has evolved her artistic practice to incorporate conceptual elements, focusing on environmental and global issues. Her abstract paintings reference these concerns and she explores the fusion of photography and painting, employing a unique emulsion process for photographs. Linda's work has been exhibited widely, earning recognition and awards across different countries.

Erminia Mitrano was born in Formia, 1970, and is a teacher and printmaking artist. She obtained an academic diploma in Decoration in 1993 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. Her artistic research is aimed almost exclusively at graphic art and she has participated in both national and international exhibitions. Since 1995 she is a lecturer of Graphic Art and since 2008 worked for the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples. In 2013 she becomes a member of the scientific and organizational committee of the P National Congress of Teachers of Graphic Art Rome.

Daniela Pergreffi, Emilian by birth and Neapolitan by adoption, is a multifaceted artist, ranging from installations to illustration, preferring manual techniques and discarded materials thanks to which she manages to incorporate pre-existing forms and signs into her works. She collaborates as an illustrator with Corriere della Sera and its inserts, as well as with Italian and foreign publishing houses. Since 1997 she has held several solo exhibitions and participated in contemporary art shows in Italy and abroad. Among her most recent exhibitions:  "Atlanti Babelici" in 2022 at the Duca di Martina Museum in Naples for the Biblioteca Errante del Mediterraneo, a project conceived by MOON of Potenza for the European community. In 2024 the exhibition "Haravec/gli esperimenti del principe di Sansevero" at Off-Gallery and Museo Cappella Sansevero, Naples.  By the end of 2025 one of her works will be placed in a station of the Naples Metro. She has held the chair of Illustration at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples since 2013.

Gisela Quinteros, a dancer and choreographer from Argentina, has traveled the world performing and collaborating with various dance companies. She now teaches ballet and continues to pursue her artistic endeavors, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and artistic expression.

Virginia Maria Romero, an American artist known for her visionary paintings and sculptures, has garnered recognition in public and private collections worldwide. Virginia's mastery of traditional New Mexican santero techniques sets her apart, with her works featured in prestigious institutions and galleries.

Sylvie Wozniak, trained in contemporary dance and visual arts, combines painting with visual installations in her monumental works. Her art delves into the human experience, exploring the soul's movements and the potential of visible forms. Sylvie's work invites viewers to engage with narratives that are sensorial and emotional, reflecting themes of movement and breath.

Yemisi Wilson was educated at Accademia di Belli Arti in Florence, followed by years of stone carving in Pietrasanta, Italy. These influences are visible in her sculptures, conceptually and in its form as she continues to work with stone in the same way as she has done for the last 25 years.  She creates art that explores memory, history, and collective experiences through stone sculptures. Yemisi's works evoke a deep connection to place and events, using materials rich in symbolic meaning to convey stories and tributes to women and their struggles. Her art serves as a form of collective memory and empowerment, bridging the past with the present.

Lan Xu, born in Chengdu, China, moved to Sweden in 1991 and lives in Stockholm. She has published poetry and short stories in both Swedish and Chinese literary journals, and has written reviews, op-eds, columns, and author interviews for Svenska Dagbladet (SvD), SydsvenskanKaravan, and "10-tal". She has also translated the works and texts of some 15 Swedish poets and authors into Chinese and has introduced several Chinese poets and authors to Swedish readers. She is the Artistic Director of the cultural association Erya, which organizes literary events and cultural exchanges in Sweden and internationally.
